Major changes are afoot...important Dammitheads information.
Where do I even begin?
As I alluded to in the last newsletter, Steve and I had been working our way into a whole new project which we were very excited about. Well, I'm pleased to say that said project has been slowly taking shape and we have become very spirited about the direction it has taken and where it might lead. Good news, right?
The down side to it, for some, will be that Dammithead maneuvers, for all intents and purposes in the near future, will be put on hold to gain maximum creative footing as we have a lot of work to do to get this thing off the ground. I imagine some folks might think we're nuts....the Dammitheads have seen some great success over the last couple of years and we owe much of it to folks like you who continue to support the band's efforts. We think this is a great place to sort of put a bookmark and breathe a little. We hope you'll agree.
THIS MAY BE IMPORTANT TO YOU:
The new project, of course, has it's own website, which we invite you to check out. The Dammitheads' website will continue to be up as well and you will be able to access the Dammitheads' store form either page as everything merchandise related will still be available. We DO ask that those of you who would like to be included in future mailings for the new project please sign up on the new site out of respect for those who might not be interested and would rather only continue to get Dammitheads updates.
As for what exactly this new direction entails, I invite you to check out the new site. Hope to see you there!

Friends/fans/folks/people with hats/dogs with sweaters....
I'm pleased to say we've been pretty busy cooking up some really cool stuff. Summer is at hand and a little bit of change is good for both the mind as well as the spirit. Note the new web digs, for example...please visit often, but don't forget to get back outside. Vive le Summer!
Speaking of don't-forgets...don't forget to come out to Summerfest July 5th to join us at the U.S Cellular Connection Stage, where it is promised that digital chaos will reign. Votes will be taken, frantic nimble fingers will beat out quick-witted communiques and amateur phone-photographers will click and luminate onto large onstage video screens. [huh?] Our set-time is 5:30pm. Also be sure to tune into 102.1 WLUM that morning at around 9:30am for little Q and A with Dave and Steve. It'll be fun....at least that's what they keep telling me.
And, speaking of new...we got new too! Steve and I are really excited about a new project that we will be focusing much of our efforts into. This new project will be much of what you have come to expect and enjoy in the Dammitheads but more. In a nutshell, it will likely stay billed under the name of David Tomaloff (or some such variation) and feature a bit more of a roots/americana twist. One really fun thing about it will be that we can vary the shows from the very intimate to the all out ruckus you have come to expect from us....and believe we will. It's still in it's fetal stages but I think you'll dig it. We'll keep you informed of our progress as shows happen.
I took this chance to mention the above because it looks like we will be staging kind of a smash and grab trial run July 8th at the Lemon Street Gallery in Kenosha. This will be a part of an outdoor event featuring real live artists painting and all kinds of other stuff. We were asked to get up and play a few. No one mentioned that it had to be good, so we agreed. Times and details are sketchy....stay tuned to this site.
Enjoy your summer and enjoy youselves.....hope to see you.
